AI and Acceptable Use Policy
How AI is used in Styrra, what it cannot do, and what the service must not be used for.
1. How AI works in Styrra
Styrra uses language models to read documents, suggest coding, answer finance questions and compile reports. You can always tell you are communicating with an AI, and answers based on legislation, tax rules or external sources show their source.
Anything that changes the books is made as a proposal ("changeset") that an authorized person at your company reviews and approves. Proposals are also checked by deterministic rules (for example balanced voucher, open period, VAT calculation) before they can be approved. These checks reduce the risk of error but do not replace your review.
2. Known limitations
- AI can be wrong, invent facts or sources, misread a document or answer differently at different times.
- Answers about laws and rules may be out of date. Swedish rules change often and the assessment depends on the particular circumstances.
- AI reads scanned and poor-quality documents with uncertainty. Check amounts, dates, VAT rates and counterparty.
- Content in documents and email may be crafted to steer the AI. Styrra treats such content as untrusted, but you should still review payees, account numbers and amounts.
- Styrra does not replace an auditor, accounting consultant or tax adviser where professional judgment is needed, for example year-end accounts, annual reports, tax planning, disputes or unclear VAT questions.
3. What we ask you to do
- Read the proposal before approving. Do not approve anything you do not understand.
- Check against the source document, especially for large amounts, new suppliers, changed bank account numbers and unusual transactions.
- Give approval rights only to people with financial responsibility at your company. Use amount limits and two approvers for large amounts.
- Use Styrra's answers as input, not advice. Consult a qualified adviser on important matters.
- Train people who use the service in how AI works and its limits (AI literacy under Article 4 of the EU AI Act).
- Report incorrect answers and suspected misuse to hej@styrra.se.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use Styrra to:
- create, change or post false, backdated or misleading vouchers, invoices or documents,
- evade tax, launder money, finance crime or circumvent sanctions,
- circumvent approval rules, amount limits, permissions or the service's security features,
- upload or connect data you have no right to process,
- deliberately manipulate the AI through documents, email or instructions (prompt injection) or test the service's security without written permission,
- upload malicious code, overload the service or use automated tools not intended for the service,
- resell or provide the service to third parties outside Partner use, or copy the service, extract models or build a competing service through use,
- use the service for decisions that by law require human judgment without such judgment, or to give advice to others as if it were professional advice where you are not entitled to.
On breach we may suspend the account under the Terms of Service and report crimes where the law requires.
5. EU AI Act
Styrra is intended for bookkeeping and financial analysis and is not intended for uses classed as high-risk under Annex III of the AI Act, for example credit scoring of natural persons, recruitment or employment decisions. Do not use Styrra for such purposes. Styrra informs users that they are interacting with an AI system. Text and reports generated by AI are labelled as such in the service.
6. Report vulnerabilities
Found a security flaw? Write to security@styrra.se. We welcome good-faith reports and will not take action against someone who reports responsibly without exploiting or disclosing data.
